Home base and travel distance

When a notice names the town, we match it by straight-line distance from your home base instead of your areas.

Set the town you work from and how far you will travel.

  • When a notice names a town, we use the distance from your home base to decide if it matches. Your area list is not used for that bid.
  • When a notice has no town, we fall back to your areas.
  • "Use my areas" means distance is shown on each bid but does not filter anything.

Distance is a straight line between town centres, so allow extra for winding roads. On the Browse page you can also filter by distance from your home base.
